Led by me (Kate Andrews) and Surbiton based artist Michelle Hazell (aka. The Painterly Magpie), I’m excited to announce that we’re launching a brand new five-week course for parents, bringing together the science of Positive Psychology and the art of Mindful Creativity. Following the success of our parents course at the Turner Contemporary in February, I’ve decided to replicate the course in Surbiton.
Over the course of five weeks, you will be introduced to Positive Psychology, what it is and how it is relevant to your life and to parenting. You will learn about how gratitude and mindfulness can improve your happiness and wellbeing. You will learn about your strengths and the strengths of those around you. The fun part is that each week there will be a different art activity, carefully designed to compliment the theme of the week. You’ll be drawing, painting, sticking and creating.
So, if you’re looking for some new ways to thrive and flourish, are curious about Positive Psychology and mindfulness, believe your kids have far more fun with paint than you do or you are desperately seeking some personal time to explore YOU a bit, this is exactly why I’ve designed this course.
The course launches on Monday 5th June and runs weekly until 3rd July 2017. The sessions are 90 minutes, from 7.30-9pm (time has been changed to 7.30pm due to demand) at the The Museum of Futures (117 Brighton Rd, Surbiton KT6 5NJ).
This exclusive course is £150. All art materials are provided and no experience is necessary. You will receive with your own sketchbook as part of the course and heaps of tools and resources to take away with you. Places are limited, so please do book early. If you know someone else who might be interested in this or who might really benefit from some tools to thrive, please forward this information.
To book, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org your full name, telephone and contact info and I will send payment information. I really hope you can make it!
