It brings me great excitement to announce that we are running a two-day festive take-over at The Art Space above Cass Art in Kingston on Sunday 20th and Monday 21st December.
With adult classes, kids workshops and a family day there’s something for everyone. Here’s the full programme of events and booking information…

SUNDAY 20th December
Yoga Class with Muriel Mueller
Sunday 20th December: 10am-10.45am, £8 drop-in
Join MuMu Yoga founder Muriel Mueller in this wonderful Sunday morning yoga class, in The Art Space at Cass Art Kingston. The perfect way to relax, ahead of the festive week.
Bring your own mat and a jumper. Pre-booking not required. Places are limited to 12. First come first served.

Mindful Drawing Class
Sunday 20th December: 12-2pm, £10
Join Kate Andrews in this special pre-Christmas workshop on drawing to calm the mind. In this two-hour class you will be introduced to mindfulness, re-engage your natural creative aptitude and learn SketchBetter’s drawing technique, Story Spheres.
This workshop is suitable for all. You do not need to be able to draw and if you’ve done Story Spheres before, please feel free to join us again.
Christmas Garland Making (Ideal for Kids, 5yrs+)
Sunday 20th December: 2.30-3.30pm. £10 each.
Join Artist and Designer Kate Andrews in this relaxing workshop and make your own paper garlands and notebooks for the festive week.
This workshop is suitable for everyone, including kids over 5years old, and is designed to offer you a mindful break away from the shops and to re-engage with your natural creativity.
Origami Star Making Class (Perfect for Adults, Kids & Families, 7yrs+)
Sunday 20th December: 4-5pm, £10 each*
Join Kate Andrews in this relaxing workshop and learn how to make your own origami stars.
This workshop is suitable for everyone, including kids over 7years old, and is designed to offer you a mindful break away from the shops and to re-engage with your natural creativity.
MONDAY 21st December
SketchBetter Does Christmas – Family Creativity Day
Monday 21st December: 10-12pm / 1-3pm / 4-6pm. £10 each
We’re filling The Art Space above Cass Art with a large paper canvas and asking you all to bring your friends and family to come and Draw Christmas! What does the festive season make you feel like? What does it smell like? Sound like? What does it mean to you? Come and join in on our gigantic festive drawing experience, and meet other families and people in the Kingston community.
There’ll be plenty of making-activities to do too, including Story Spheres, Garland-Making, Make Origami Stars and gifts for your loved ones.
There’ll be festive music on – dancing is welcomed. Christmas attire is recommended for hilarity.
Kate Andrews on Mindfulness
Monday 21st December: 7-8pm. £12 drop-in.
Join Artist, Designer and SketchBetter Founder Kate Andrews in this informal evening discussion on Mindfulness and Positive Psychology.
Learn about Kate’s story and recovery from Depression and Anorexia, why she’s started SketchBetter and how you too can use mindfulness and creativity to reduce stress and improve your own well-being.
SketchBetter Original Artworks & Other Creative Goodies
Throughout the two-days, we’ll also have a small pop-up store open, selling original artwork by Kate Andrews, as well as other hand-made goods and stocking fillers, just in time for Christmas.
